Chasing Lily

After receiving information from James West concerning the likely whereabouts of Lilian Laremy, now known as Lilian Anderson, Quinn Laremy requested transportaion for the Justifiers to California to facilitate the search.

"So after about two weeks at lovely Fort Pickett Jim drops by my room to tell me he thinks he found my sister. She's changed her name and living in California, or at least that's the last place of employment he can track down for her. She's gone nomad and bounces from job to job quit a bit. I'm thinking things might have been bad for her while was away, so I get the gang together and ask if they wanna help me find her. Everyone was willing to help, which was cool. I told them I'd talk to the brass and see if I could get us transportation. The Colonel was a little surprised when I told him that we were all going. Apparently the previous teams have never been very `close' so it shocked him that we might actually be willing to spend some time together outside of work."

Arriving in San Diego the majority of the team underwent climitization while Jim West and Quinn Laremy conducted interviews with persons who were previous aquaintances of Miss Anderson. They were able to determine that Miss Anderson had moved to Los Angeles.

"While the rest of the team chilled on the beach, me a Jim went to the apartment where Lily had been living. Nothing there, and the manager said she'd left a while back. Next stop was the place she used to work, some little five and dime. The guy there was really not helpful, and I started to notice that Jim was not the best guy at being polite to folks. I had about hung it up when one of the register girls told us that she had Lilly's address. They had been close while she was living in the area. She told us that Lily had moved to L.A. with her boyfriend, who drove an expensive red sports car. I started to worry. Not wanting to waste any time, I rounded up the rest of the fun bunch and we took a minivan down to the City of Angles. The six of us in a minivan for 400 miles was not the best idea I've ever had!!"

Arriving in Los Angeles the team got accomadations and further investigated the whereabouts of Ms Laremy/Anderson. They were able to locate her and pay her a visit that afternoon. The reunion was a happy one, but short as Ms. Anderson indicated that she had to go to work.

"After surviving the hell of the mini-van ride I hit the hotel bar for a drink, and Jim started digging around trying to find out anything on Lily's boyfriend and where she might be.

Operating on a hunch, MassMaster had Arclight follow the girl to her destination, which was a beach house in nearby Riverside. The owner, it was discovered, was a known drug figure involved in smuggling. The team went to the residence to question the individual and determine Ms. Anderson's involvement if any in his operations.

After a confrontation with security forces on site it was determined that Ms. Laremy and her boyfriend had gone to Mexico to make a drug run for the owner of the house. However, it was also discovered that a paranormal of some sort was present at the house and departed through means unknown.

Flying via military helicopter to Mexico the team located the car that Ms. Anderson and her boyfriend were driving, but the vehicle was destroyed by a fire before it could be seized by local authorities. Ms. Anderson and her boyfriend were no where to be seen, and witnesses indicated that they had seen the pair go to a room in a local hotel. Investigation showed the pair were missing, and a phone had been left behind. Within minutes the phone rang, and their abductors were making demands for their return. They informed the Justifiers that they would be contacted the following morning with additional instructions.

The following morning contact was made when one of the abductors entered MassMasters room and accosted him. This was followed by a phone call which instructed the team to go to their car and follow directions to a meet. The meet was at a cemetary, where the group which will formally be identified as The Dealers were waiting for the arrival of the Justifiers.

A short battle ensued, with heavy casualties on both sides. After a few minutes of conflict, both groups called a cease-fire and retreated. Members of the Justifiers were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries and held overnight for observation.

The owner of the beach house which had been the site of the earlier battle was released from jail on bail, but his house had been burned to the ground. It is suspected that The Dealers did this in retaliation for his exposing their operation to the police.
